HISTORY of the VIBE

Originally built in 1952 by Anthony Pinelli it was called the "Movie Town Motel". It has been a Hollywood landmark for budgeting hipsters and the young "in" crowd since the days of Elvis. Colorful and retro from the day it was built the Movie Town Motel has been subject to the many eras of Hollywood including the glamorous 50's, dangerous gang days, earthquakes and riots of Los Angeles. Currently this retro funky vintage motel is enjoying the revamping and restoration that is taking place throughout the entire Hollywood area.

The picture above is an original ad for the '50's motel, notice the old style phone number and the zip of 28 instead of the currrent 90028. The Movie Town Motel is now known as the Vibe Hotel and is fast growing into one of the hottest spots on the strip.
